Steinbeis-University Berlin

Our university was founded in 1998 and is a subsidiary of the Steinbeis Foundation for Economic Development. Spanning a worldwide network of specialists and experts, as well as offering training and employee development, the Steinbeis organisation provides a variety of services including: consulting and advisory services, research and development support, evaluations and expert reports.

Encompassing more than 80 transfer companies, our network offers a broad selection of customised specialist degrees and training programmes, carefully designed to provide specialists and managers with the qualifications business demands. The backbone of our philosophy is formed by the institutes, organised like a “company within the university company”. Each unit operates autonomously. The university is financed by project and tuition fees so it does not depend on any state subsidies.

By focusing on the demands of vocational practice, Steinbeis has successfully established itself within the landscape of German universities as an independent service provider. There are currently 2.000 students enrolled at the Steinbeis University. We work in partnership with a variety of sponsoring companies – confirmation that the Steinbeis concept works, fuelling our ambition to take on the challenges of the future.
